Decorating FAQs

When can you paint fresh plaster?
Once it's fully dry — usually 5–7 days for a skim. The first coat is always a watered-down 'mist coat' so it soaks in and bonds; skip that and the paint can peel.
Do you do woodwork and ceilings too?
Yes — walls, ceilings, skirting, architrave, doors and frames. We prep, fill and sand first so the finish is sharp, not just a coat over the cracks.
Can you decorate straight after plastering?
That's the idea — one team to plaster and decorate means no waiting for a separate trade and no finger-pointing. We mist-coat the new plaster correctly and take it through to a finished, painted room.
Do you supply the paint, or do I choose it?
Either — tell us the colours and finish you want and we'll supply, or you can provide your own. We'll advise on the right paint for new plaster, bathrooms, kitchens and high-traffic areas.
How do you keep the place clean while decorating?
Dust sheets over floors and furniture, careful masking and tidy cutting-in. We keep tins and tools contained and leave the room clean and ready to use.
